The 38th season of the top English domestic rugby union began on September 20, 2024 with the Northampton Saints looking to defend their 2023-24 championship run. The Gallagher Premiership Rugby is an 18-round competition, with each of the 10 teams meeting in home and away matchups throughout the season. Bath Rugby
Bath Rugby came close to winning the Gallagher Premiership in 2023-24, finishing the year with 11 wins and seven defeats. They made it to the playoffs, beating the Sale Sharks 31-23 in the first round before losing to the Northampton Saints in the championship game by a score of 25-21. Bath is currently in first place in the standings with five wins and one loss. The club has scored 205 points while giving up 135 for a league-leading point differential of plus 70.

Northampton Saints

They defeated Saracens in the first round of the playoffs and then downed Bath for their first title since 2013-14.
