Saints aim for repeat
Northampton (+250) defeated Bath 25-21 in last year’s final after their opponents lost a player just 21 minutes in. It was the first Premiership title since 2014 for the Saints, who also finished on top of the regular season’s league table. However, this year’s team will be without club legends such as Courtney Lawes, Alex Moon, Lewis Ludlam and Alex Waller.
Despite only have 14 players on the field in the championship game, Bath (+400) rallied from 15-3 down to take the lead 21-18. After falling just short yet again, Bath has not lifted the Premiership trophy since 1996. Will their fortunes change this season?
🚨Premiership Rugby games overseas?!
Saracens and new CEO Mark Thompson keen on the idea, they exclusively tell @CityAM today.
Premiership Rugby is believed to be receptive to Saracens’ enthusiasm.

Saracens always in contention
Saracens (+250) is the co-favorite to capture the Premiership after winning five titles in the past decade. The team fell to Northampton in the playoffs last season after winning the championship the previous season.
With Owen Farrell having moved across the English channel, Maro Itoje will fill the shoes of the charismatic team captain. He leads a new group trying to carry on Saracens’ rich championship tradition.
Other contenders
Harlequins (+1000) missed the playoffs last year, but they have a nice mix of rising stars (Tyrone Green, Roma Zheng and Fin Baxter) and crafty veteran signings such as Leigh Halfpenny and Wyn Jones. New additions like Titi Lamositele will keep the Quins’ scrum firing while Rodrigo Isgro promises to add speed to their outside backs.
While Sale (+1000) hasn’t had as promising a summer, Waisea Nayacalevu brings quality and experience to the Sharks’ backline. If they can find a way to replace Sam James and Manu Tuilagi, they have a chance.

Best Longshot
Leicester (+1000) has won more Premiership titles (11) than anyone with their last one coming in 2021-2022. In addition to naming former Australia and Argentina boss Michael Cheika as their new head coach, the Tigers added powerhouse Nicky Smith to their front row, Izaia Perese to the midfield, and Ben Volovola to sub for Handre Pollard.
In a year of change for the England Premiership, the Leicester Tigers will restore order with their 12th championship.
