The 2024-25 European Rugby Champions Cup gets underway on December 6. The annual rugby tournament, which pits teams who have qualified via the English Premiership, French Top 14, and United Rugby Championship or by winning the Challenge Cup, wraps up on May 24, 2025 with the Grand Final at Principality Stadium, Cardiff. Last year, Toulouse ended La Rochelle’s run of two straight victories by defeating Leinster in the final. Leinster has been the runner-up in the past three tournaments. Toulouse are the early betting favorites to pick up their seventh tournament victory. They are the winningest club in the event, picking up six victories since they won the first European Rugby Champions Cup in 1995-96.
The Champions Cup features four pools of six to eight teams. Each rugby club faces four different opponents during the pool stage of the event.
The top four in each pool move on to the knockout stage.

Leinster betting breakdown
Will this year’s Investec Champions Cup be the one where Leinster get back to the top? Four-time winners of the tournament, Leinster have not tasted victory since 2017-18. The team has finished as runner-up in four tournaments since then, including in each of the past three years.
Last year, Leinster was the top team in Pool D with a 4-0 record. They had 123 points for and 53 points against for an impressive plus 70 differential. They entered the knockout stage as the No. 2 team and moved to the final with wins over Leicester Tigers (36-22), La Rochelle (40-13), and Northampton Saints (20-17). However, they fell short in the final, losing to Toulouse 31-22.
The Irish club has won the United Rugby Championship eight times and finished as the runner-up in five times.
Leinster is in Pool 2 along with: Bath, Benetton, Bristol Bears, Clermont, and La Rochelle. They face Bristol Bears in their first pool game on December 8.
