On Election Day, November 5, Missouri voters faced a key decision on sports betting with Amendment 2 on the ballot. After a $50 million campaign, the measure passed by a slim margin of 7,486 votes out of 2.9 million, making Missouri the 39th state to legalize sports betting.
2023
The state introduced sports betting bills, including SB 30, which faced failure in the 2023 legislative session. SB 30, which passed the House, faltered in the Senate. Sen. Denny Hoskins played a key role in the opposition, tying sports betting to regulatory language for video lottery terminals and participating in filibusters.
2022

2021
