Checking out some of the prime online betting sportsbooks may not even be quite enough. Now, the first two games are at Target Center where Minnesota has been excellent since the Olympic Break. Ultimately, this series may just go the distance. Numbers are below on the series result between the two teams.

Minnesota Lynx | -175 | -185 | -180 |
Sun vs Lynx Bets – The Series Breakdown
Okay, the Sun vs Lynx Bets offer another brief series breakdown. The Minnesota Lynx were the hottest team after the Olympic Break. Minnesota won 13 of their final 15 games. Do not forget that this is a team which rested everyone in their season finale against Los Angeles. Do not be too alarmed by that 17 point loss. Minnesota, to their credit, turned the tables on Phoenix in Round 1. They absorbed a large Phoenix comeback in Game 1 then scored 100+ points in Game 2 to seal the series.
Unfortunately, some experts are less sure about that Series Moneyline against Connecticut. Some think that the Sun are more built to advance past this round compared to the Lynx. Minnesota has the ability to do one thing better than Connecticut. They can raise their game offensively. Yes, the Sun has some issues doing that. Minnesota is known for their defense (75.6 points per game allowed – 2nd in the WNBA). However, they were third since the Olympic Break.
The Sun only won nine of their final 15 games from the Break. Worse, they were middle of the road offensively and ranked eighth overall during the season. This was the top defensive team in the league allowing 73.6 points per game but that number jumped to almost 78 over the final month. Connecticut does have six players in double figure but not one over 15 points a game. The Sun are led by Marina Mabrey off the bench, Alyssa Thomas, and DeWanna Bonner.
Unfortunately for Connecticut, they face Napheesa Collier who is a generational WNBA talent. She averages 20.4 points per game, nearly 10 rebounds a contest, and can step back and drain an occasional three. Combine her with Kayla McBride and that is a tough duo for Connecticut. It is that pairing which likely gets Minnesota past Connecticut.
Sun vs Lynx Bets – What About The Distance?
Now, the Sun vs Lynx bets continues with asking what about the distance? Yes, all four series from Round 1 featured sweeps. No one was particularly surprised about that. Okay, let us rephrase that. No one should have been astonished. New York, Las Vegas, Minnesota, and Connecticut are the four best teams in the league. They are the class and last round, class was definitely in session.
Basically, no one is expecting a sweep here. The good news is several series options exist. However, there is no concrete “if and” type of pick just yet. What does that mean? A Minnesota in 5 prediction is not quite out yet but that type of prop will be soon enough. The good news is any prediction of games is still comfortably in the plus-money territory. That presents some help for bettors who are not quite so sure about the series outcome.
Make no mistake ladies and gentlemen, this is going to be a war. Connecticut loves to grind its opponents into submission and so does Minnesota in its own way. Like we mentioned before though, in a half-court type of series, the Lynx have an edge with Collier. Alyssa Thomas can cover her but only for so long. The Minnesota Power Forward carries too much of a presence and repertoire to be completely bottled up for a series.
Again, the Sun vs Lynx Bets show us that risking a few different wagers is fine. The difference between four and five games is so minuscule in this series. It’s almost zero to be honest. That makes it a near coin-flip. Like we mentioned above, both of the WNBA series could go a full five games. Right now, four games rolls in at +165 and five at +170. Let’s take a shot at the latter.
Do We Have Any More Bets To Make?
Finally, Sun vs Lynx Bets ask do we have any more bets to make? 2024 has been the year of the truly unexpected. Seeing Las Vegas and New York not meeting in the Final is one thing but could Minnesota completely stir up the drink? The Lynx have seen their number to win the title shorten and shorten and shorten. Currently, they stand third at +300 via Bovada and BetOnline. By the way, Las Vegas is only +250. That is not too far off.
Again, watch some of the game props too. The Under is going to be pretty low for a lot of the games in this Minnesota-Connecticut series. Currently, Game 1 features a Game Total of 155.5. Looking at what both teams score at, the first game may be the one to take the Under on as both teams may be a little rusty shooting wise.
Finally, Minnesota remains a more and more attractive third choice for a championship wager. The number was +800 in the beginning of August but still positive enough to consider making the wager.
