The Sun only won nine of their final 15 games from the Break. Worse, they were middle of the road offensively and ranked eighth overall during the season. This was the top defensive team in the league allowing 73.6 points per game but that number jumped to almost 78 over the final month. Connecticut does have six players in double figure but not one over 15 points a game. The Sun are led by Marina Mabrey off the bench, Alyssa Thomas, and DeWanna Bonner.
Unfortunately for Connecticut, they face Napheesa Collier who is a generational WNBA talent. She averages 20.4 points per game, nearly 10 rebounds a contest, and can step back and drain an occasional three. Combine her with Kayla McBride and that is a tough duo for Connecticut. It is that pairing which likely gets Minnesota past Connecticut.
